The Unity Pathways School Division (UPSD) and its schools are narrative settings created for The Belonging Project. The stories within this ecosystem are inspired by real experiences in education and community life, thoughtfully fictionalized to protect privacy and illuminate inclusive practice.

Unity Pathways School Division serves students and families across Confluence Valley with a shared commitment to designing learning environments where every learner can participate, contribute, and grow.

We believe belonging is not an outcome to be achieved at the end of the journey. It is the foundation from which meaningful learning begins. When students experience belonging, participation deepens, agency grows, and flourishing becomes possible.

Our work is guided by three interconnected conditions that shape every aspect of school life:
-
Structural Conditions that ensure access, flexibility, and coherence across our system.
-
Relational Conditions that cultivate trust, shared responsibility, and strong partnerships.
-
Instructional Conditions that support responsive teaching and diverse pathways for learning.

Together, these conditions create environments where learners are seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
